An 'Afternoon Tea' to raise funds for research into Ovarian Cancer was held in the club rooms on October 5th. More than 30 women donned a frock to enjoy an afternoon of fun with an underlying serious cause. Our afternoon opened with a joyous performance from Deirdre’s Dancers .
On a more sombre note, OCRF Ambassador, Aimee, described the harrowing journey she and her brother travelled from their mother’s diagnosis until her death earlier this year. The family dubbed the disease “The Beast” and it was certainly a beastly journey for them all. The afternoon raised more than $800 to further research to find an early detection test. Many thanks to everyone who supported the cause.
